We need your help!π₯Ύπ§
Today we're reaching out with something a little different, not about work, but about something that matters to us as a team π
The RedRoots Team is Taking on the Edale Skyline Challenge
On Saturday 28th June, members of the RedRoots team will be pulling on their walking boots and heading to the Peak District to take on the Edale Skyline, a stunning but demanding 20 mile circular route through some of England's most breathtaking upland countryside.
It's a serious undertaking. The Edale Skyline takes walkers up and over the high moorland edges surrounding the Hope Valley, with sweeping views across Kinder Scout, Lose Hill, and the Great Ridge. There will be early starts, aching legs, but every step will be worth it.
We're doing it to raise money for Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity.
A Charity Close to Our Hearts
Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity is the largest dedicated brain tumour charity in the region, and the work they do is nothing short of remarkable. They fund vital research into brain tumours, one of the most complex and underfunded areas of cancer research, while also providing direct, hands-on support to patients and families across Yorkshire who are navigating one of the most difficult journeys imaginable.
Brain tumours affect people of all ages. A diagnosis changes lives overnight, not just for the patient, but for everyone around them. Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity is there through all of it, offering emotional support, specialist nurses, information, and a community for those who need it most.
This is a charity that hits close to home for our team. The impact of a brain tumour diagnosis on individuals, on families, on communities, is something many of us have witnessed personally. Supporting this cause isn't just a fundraising exercise for us. It genuinely means something.
How You Can Help
We're not here to pressure anyone. We know there are many worthy causes and that times are tough for a lot of people right now. But if you're in a position to spare even a small amount, every single pound goes directly towards funding research and supporting families right here in Yorkshire.
You can sponsor the team by donating through our fundraising page by clicking HERE
Whether it's Β£5, Β£25, or whatever feels right for you, it will make a real difference. And if you're not able to donate right now, simply sharing our page with your own network costs nothing and could help us reach our goal.
Thank You
From everyone at RedRoots, thank you so much for taking the time to read this. We'll be sharing updates from the walk on the day, the highs, the hills, and hopefully a well-earned pint at the finish line.
Wish us luck. Our legs are going to need it.
With gratitude,
The RedRoots Team β€οΈπ‘
