Laura shares her experience of 1 year in business Self Employed as an Estate Agent and how it was the best decision she has made πŸ₯‚





This week I marked ONE years since my official launch day with RedRoots Property,  helping clients find their dream homes, make confident investments, and achieve their property goals 🏑

In the last 12 months as a self-employed Estate Agent, I've experienced the ups and downs of running my own business. I'm incredibly grateful for the trust, support, and referrals from my amazing clients, friends, and community. This milestone wouldn't have been possible without YOU!

I was the first associate to join RedRoots Property Estate Agency and it could have been a risky move. But I believed in Stephen and Matt’s vision of a new generation of Estate Agency teamed with my hard-work and determination to do well. Through my years of experience, it became clear that Estate Agency as an industry is very departmentalised and communication can break down leading to a frustrating client experience. The industry has a negative reputation with bad agents carrying out bad practices tarnishing the trust of clients. Here at RedRoots it is different, and I truly believe that people are starting to see that the service we provide is different in a positive way. This is where I knew it could be different and the past 12 months of has proved just that πŸ‘πŸΌ

Been self-employed has allowed me to build my own personal brand, but also be supported by the central hub and the incredible branding with Stephen and Matt have always been one call away if I ever needed any advice. I've grown both as an agent and as a person. Balancing a thriving business while buying a house myself has been an incredible journey - one filled with challenges, lessons, and personal growth. Navigating the property market from both sides has given me a whole new perspective, deepening my understanding of my clients’ needs and reinforcing my passion for what I do 🏑

Juggling the demands of entrepreneurship, managing clients, and making one of the biggest investments of my life has tested my resilience, but it’s also been a rewarding experience. This journey has reminded me why I love what I do - helping others find their perfect home while achieving my own dreams at the same time.

Being self-employed means that I have the flexibility to work when my clients need me whether that be evenings or weekends, not just the typical 9 to 5. My clients always receive the same high level of service βœ…

To anyone thinking of being self-employed as an estate agent, but I would say yes, take the jump and go for it ! It’s been the best decision of my life so far. Heres to the next 12 months!
