Why I Chose to Make a Change: My Journey to Offering a Personal Estate Agency Service
👋🏼 Hello, I’m Laura Fallon, your local Estate Agent for Sprotbrough and the surrounding areas.
I would like to share the story of why I left a successful career as a branch manager at an established firm to start my own business—and how that decision was inspired by one simple goal: putting my clients first.
After years of working in the Estate Agency profession, I began to feel that the level of service clients deserved simply wasn’t being delivered. Working my way up from being the Apprentice to becoming the Branch Manager, it became apparent, the more I developed my career; the less time and direct input I had into helping my clients move home which was essentially why I started out in the role - I wanted/ needed to change that!
🏡 Buying or selling a home is one of the most significant and emotional journeys we take. It’s not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about creating a space for your family, memories, and dreams. I felt my clients deserved a truly personal, start-to-finish service, where they could rely on a single point of contact who genuinely understood their needs, much like the service levels you see in America, Canada, South Africa and many more. Unfortunately in the UK, Estate Agents are commonly ranked as one of the least trustworthy professions there are - which considering we are helping people make life-changing decisions is a massive red flag! 🚩
That’s why I made the jump to set up my own business, working as a partner agent with RedRoots Property, a local family business originally from Cusworth, Doncaster which shared the same values and vision. Working alongside the Directors at RedRoots Property, Matthew and Stephen Geer, we are at the forefront of leading through innovation and raising the standards of the Estate Agency profession from world class marketing to the bespoke service tailored to suit you - our client.
I live and work in Sprotbrough, and that’s a huge part of what makes my service unique, the goal is not to be the biggest Estate Agent in Doncaster but rather stay hyper local to the areas I know so well.
