This month marks a full year since I joined Red Roots Property, and what a journey it’s been. Stepping away from the traditional estate agency model and into something completely new was a big leap for me – but looking back, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Finding Balance with My Schedule


One of the biggest adjustments has been switching from the 9–5 routine to being fully in control of my own diary. At the beginning, I’ll admit, I was here, there, and everywhere – a classic people-pleaser who never wanted to say no to anyone. It took some trial and error (and a lot of late nights!) to realise that creating structure in my week was just as important as being available. Now, I’ve found the balance – and it’s given me the freedom to work smarter, not harder, while still giving my clients the time and attention they deserve.

The Power of Support


Working independently doesn’t mean working alone. The support from the Red Roots Hub has been invaluable – from training sessions to general advice and just having a team of like-minded agents to share ideas with. The knowledge within our network of partner agents and lettings experts has helped me grow not only as a business owner but also as an individual. It’s reassuring to know there’s always someone to lean on when you need a second opinion or a fresh perspective.

Why I’ll Never Go Back


Having experienced this way of working, I can confidently say I’d never return to traditional estate agency. The ability to take ownership of the entire client journey – from that first valuation right through to handing over the keys on completion day – is what makes this role so rewarding. Every sale has a story, and the people you meet along the way are what make it truly special.

Looking Back at Year One


In just 12 months, I’ve been instructed on over 46 properties and achieved 30 successful sales. As a 1 year old business, I couldn’t be prouder of those numbers – but what matters most is the trust my clients have put in me to guide them through their move. To have maintained a 5* reviewed service along the way is the biggest achievement of all.
